Sliding Interleaved Projection Reconstruction Acquisition (SLIPR)

SLIPR was implemented with modifications to a multislab 3D time-of-flight MRA pulse sequence. K-space is sampled radially over a small set of projection angles for each slab position, with complete Fourier encoding for the slice encoding direction. The spacing between adjacent slabs is equivalent to one slice thickness. For uniform coverage, the projection angles for each slab position are interleaved with those of neighboring slab positions. After the Fourier transform in the slice encoding direction, the measurements are combined for each slice position. For the images shown, each fully sampled slice has 256 view angles taken over a full 360’ and for each slab, the central 12 of the 16 slices excited are used for image reconstruction.
